Frequently Asked Questions
Everything hosts ask before booking — and a few things they're glad they knew.
What does BYOB bartending mean?
You purchase and supply all the alcohol for your event from any store you choose. We provide certified, insured bartenders who set up the bar, serve your guests responsibly, and clean up afterward. It's bartending labor only — no alcohol from us, ever.
Do you bring alcohol?
No, never. Well Served BYOB Bartending provides bartending labor only. Clients purchase and supply all alcoholic beverages. We do not sell, furnish, or transport alcohol for sale.
Are your bartenders licensed?
Florida does not issue bartender licenses. Our bartenders are TIPS certified (or hold Florida Responsible Vendor certification) and we carry $1M in general and liquor liability insurance.
Can you send our venue a certificate of insurance?
Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, we send a certificate of insurance naming your venue — within 24 hours. Venues and planners can also request one directly on our Venues & Planners page.
How many bartenders do I need?
A good rule is one bartender per 50 guests. Our packages are sized accordingly: Essential covers up to 50 guests with one bartender, Signature up to 100 with two, and Venue Ready Wedding up to 150 with two bartenders plus a barback.
What happens to leftover alcohol?
It stays with you. Everything unopened at the end of the night is packed up and left with the host — it's your event and your purchase.
What if a guest has had too much?
Our bartenders are trained to recognize impairment and empowered to refuse service, politely and discreetly. We'll help arrange a safe ride if a guest needs one. Your guests' safety comes first.
Do you travel?
Yes — we serve Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Fernandina Beach. Events beyond the First Coast are quoted individually.
What is your cancellation and weather policy?
A 50% deposit holds your date and is refundable up to 14 days before the event. If weather moves your outdoor event indoors or to a new date, we'll work with you on timing at no extra charge whenever our calendar allows.
